Alright, it is time, it’s been 7 years since I published the first drafts and then the full edition of my book, The iOS Interview Guide, back in 2016.
A lot has changed since then in the iOS world. And I have changed as well - gained experience, knowledge, and dare I say wisdom (hopefully)!
I’m planning to update my book and incorporate as much as possible and feasible of everything I learned since the first publication. There will be full chapter rewrites and revisions, new chapters, fixes, updates, and much more.
But also, a lot will remain the same as the book was intended to stand the test of time and be a conceptual guide to iOS developers on general good mobile development practices. With thousands of copies sold even years after the initial publication I think it has proven to be true.
I do not know how long it will take me to update it but I’m assuming it should take less then the original 9 months it took to write it. If you would like to follow along with me on my journey please subscribe to this substack, The Mobile Engineer, or sign up for email updates on the book’s website here: https://iosinterviewguide.com/
I will share progress, chapter updates, and any other thoughts I’ll have on the mobile development along the way here on substack. If you subscribe to the updates on the book’s website you’ll only get the progress chapter updates.
I’d be happy to chat with everyone about the book on this journey and incorporate the feedback into the 2nd edition.
Wish me luck!
Awesome will the 2nd edition be a free upgrade for those that own the 1st edition?
